THE COMPANY
Inclusif Capital Pte. Ltd is a Singapore-based independent boutique fund management company. It is founded and wholly owned by its principals, who have several decades of combined Asian investing experience. The firm operates as a Registered Fund Management Company with the Monetary Authority of Singapore under the Securities and Futures (Licensing and Conduct of Business) Regulations. The company specialises in the equity markets in the Asia Pacific region and is the Investment Manager of Inclusif Value Fund.
THE PEOPLE
Teh Hooi Ling
Hooi Ling is the Executive Director and CEO of the company, as well as the Portfolio Manager of Inclusif Value Fund. She is overall responsible for implementing the fund's investment strategy. Prior to setting up Inclusif Capital, Hooi Ling was a founder and partner in another boutique value fund. And before that, she spent more than two decades as a financial journalist in Business Times, the leading business daily in Singapore. As the writer of the Show Me the Money (SMTM) column, Hooi Ling won over many fans with her robust research and insightful analysis of the markets. Many of her analyses had proved prescient and have stood the test of time. Almost all the SMTM articles have been compiled into eight bestselling books. For her work, she was recognised as The Securities Investors Association of Singapore's Investor Education Journalist in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
Through her years of research and study of the markets, Hooi Ling arrived at a quantitative value investment approach that relentlessly pursues a small edge in many stocks, over a long period of time, through booms and busts, good economies and bad. The cumulative outcome of that investment approach can be outstanding, as can be seen in her previous fund.
Hooi Ling holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Finance from NUS.
Lau Seng Hong
Seng Hong is the Executive Director and COO of the company. He has more than 25 years of working experience, of which 20 years are in equities investment. His last position is as a Senior Investment Manager with a large Asian family office. Prior to that he was an Investment Analyst with a bank. Seng Hong graduated with a First Class Honours in Social Science from NUS, majoring in Economics.
Teo Yao Yang
Before joining the company in 2017, Yao Yang worked in Singapore Exchange. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Business School, a MBA (Distinction) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a MSc Financial Engineering degree from Nanyang Business School.
Tan Siang Khee
Siang Khee is the market strategist of the company, responsible for formulating investment views. He has more than ten years of experience in asset management and investment research. Prior to joining Inclusif Capital in 2022, Siang Khee was a research analyst at Templeton Global Equity group, covering a range of global industries including commercial services, IT services, semiconductor and component manufacturing services. He graduated with First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering from NUS and holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from SMU.
